Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using the FutureWorks website at futureworks.center (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Informational and pre-launch nature
The Site describes FutureWorks’ plans for a center in Detroit focused on AI and robotics. Programs, impact targets, timelines, partnership asks, and related materials are informational and aspirational. They are subject to change and do not create a binding commitment unless we enter a separate written agreement with you.
No professional advice; “as is” content
Content on the Site is for general information only. It is not legal, financial, investment, engineering, or other professional advice. The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site. Without limitation, you may not: attempt to disrupt or overload the Site or form intake; scrape or automatedly access the Site in a way that harms service or bypasses reasonable limits; use the Site for unlawful purposes; submit malware or harmful code; or impersonate any person or organization.
Intellectual property
The Site’s text, design, graphics, logos, images, video, and other materials are owned by FutureWorks or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view the Site for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content except as allowed by law or with our prior written permission.
User submissions via the partner form
If you submit information through the partner/contact form, you grant FutureWorks the right to use that information to respond to your inquiry and operate related partnership communications, as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not submit confidential or proprietary information you do not want processed for those purposes. Submitting a form does not create a partnership, funding commitment, or other contract.
Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties. Links do not imply endorsement.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FutureWorks disclaims all warranties regarding the Site, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FutureWorks and its operators, directors, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100), except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FutureWorks and its operators from reasonable claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that courts located in Michigan will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Site, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
